I just returned from viewing this movie and would recommend it. I mean really recommend it. I would credit Randall Wallace with rendering an exquisite balance of portraying the warrior on the one hand and the cost back home. To that add his sensitive representation of the NVA soldiers, a concept not frequently seen. I was quite affected-yeah, that's right, crying. Mel Gibson's performance as Hal Moore was Oscar level and certainly elevated him in my view as an actor. Semper Fi, Jim.
