Love is probably not the right word here, as I don't think I trully "love" any of his films that I have seen - not too many really. But that one was memorable, and I would mention a couple more. "La Vie et rien d'autre" was I thought interesting, albeit bordering on too a sentimental melodrama. I think it stayed on *this* side of corny, but I suspect it might not be your cup of tea. Phillippe Noiret though is a darling there, and he is BIG actor.
"La Passion Béatrice" is something compoletely different. To many men Julie Delpy represent the rawest of the raw sex appeal, and in this one she is beyond raw, she drips with it. The film is riveting in large part due to another marvelous performance of that terrible French man - the Mr. Evil reincarnation himself, who made us all shiver with horror and bite our nails in "The Vanishing" - none else as Bernard-Pierre Donnadieu... who can forget THAT diabolical face?
