"Day The Earth Stood Still" is a genuine classic and on my list of the greatest sci-fi films of all time."Dark Star" is excellent. Not quite a classic but a very fine film.
"Night Of the Living Dead" and "Day of the Dead" are great. If the "Night" the 1968 version or the remake? The original is a horror classic. I don't like the remake quite as much but it's still a top flick. "Day" is a sequel and is really strange but quite good.
"Night of the Demons" is very good. Haven't seen the unrated version but I suspect it's just a bit gorier.
"The Mask" is grade-z cheapo junk. Worth a watch if you have nothing better to do. Different from the Jim Carrey "The Mask", which is a far, far better film. Also very different from "MASK", which starred Cher and which is an excellent film about a very brave kid with a horribly disfiguring disease
"Dracula vs. Frankenstein" is sub-grade-z. It's so bad it's funny. You should see "Billy the Kid vs. Dracula." It's even worse, hard as that is to believe. It's another of those that are so unbelievably awful that you can't turn it off. It's on a par with "Robot Monsters", "Plan 9 From Outer Space", and "The Spice Girls Movie."
