I max three d was the way to go. I went and saw it today in that format, and the three d was very sophisticated, not distracting at all, just a depth of field enhancement, and not used a gee whiz effect at anytime. From the opening scene needle drop of traffic playing Mr. Fantasy to open the show, among fantastic Imax visuals, one can tell you are in for a well crafted movie.
Robert downey jr. is central to the movie, constructing around such a fine actor indicates the overall quality of the work.
The odd thing was three D imax was a single 2:15 showing and that auditurium had the most seats. The place was a multiplex, with a big dolby plus theatre, with 15of 18 theaters showing the movie. Most were regular format. I suppose it made some kind of financial sense , i was glad i could see it in the daytime. I usually prefer outdoor activities when the sun is out.
