Since I posted mini-reviews of past seasons, I will just keep it going, although few others seem to be watching this.
Season 3 showed up recently. The set-up for season 1 was Marius, a con man released from jail, who pretended to be another convict, Pete, in order to hide out with Pete's family at their farm. Endless complications ensued, as Pete's family had their own set of crooked dealings. Season 1 had a very satisfying story arc. Season 2 rebooted with a new set of problems focused on Pete's family and their secrets.
Now I'm halfway into season 3. Marius is facing a new set of challenges, Pete's cousin Julia now knows he is not really Pete, but they are forced to work together on another big con, which is necessary to finance an even bigger con. Meanwhile, various subplots are simmering among Pete's family, as various infidelities in the past have proven to have large consequences. I am, as usual, much enjoying the con game duplicity, while some of the family stuff seems to be veering a bit into soap opera. Nevertheless, it is highly bingeable and I look forward to seeing it all play out.
Of note, one of the minor characters is played by the late great Ricky Jay, and it saddens me a bit, as I doubt I will see him in anything else after this.
