It coulda been a contenda. Alas, it was not to be. It was off to a great start with Murray and Driver playing it straight while trying to figure out what was happening. When the Sun didn't go down, as expected, something was amiss. Comes forth the undead with a hunger for flesh, not brains, of the citizens of Centerville.
This has a rich cast and it could have been funnier and more developed but it became a kind of a slow-motion death-by-zombie rather than a scary paced, action film one would normally expect. The fact that near the end Driver and Murray refer to the actual script kind of blows the magic.
I was disappointed. It should have been better.
