It's a Jamaican story that takes place in both Kingston, then London.
I liked the accuracy of the dialect and the music most. By the way if you don't understand Jamaican accents and idioms I checked, you can turn on subtitles.
Our main characters older brother , his positive support system gets shot and he strays from the good path. He then searches for his brothers killer who he was told moved to NYC.
I found the acting realistic and the music as well. The film starts us out in 1973 Jamaican then takes us to 1983 London.
Mild Spoiler: our main character sees images of his dead brother as a ghost or duppy as they say in Jamaica. The missed a real opportunity not using the great Yellowman tune at the link below.
