The following is a true story showing show educational Marx Brothers movies are...
A little more than 20 years ago, my wife, daughter, and I went to a jazz festival held at a steam train yard. One of the performers was Vince Giordano and The Nighthawks. Prior to performing a number, he explained that they were going to play a song popularized by Maurice Chevalier and that, like his band, was about birds. He suggested that few in the audience had ever heard it.
So, my daughter started singing the song. The crowd of maybe 100 turned around to stare at this five year old, and especially to look at the bad parents she must have.
Vince laughed, said she got it right, and then played that exact song.
He didn't invite her up to sing, though. He's no dummy. She didn't have a union card, anyway.
All because she'd watched Monkey Business about 17 times.
