RE: the T.A.M.I show, a 60's rock show on DVD, a big winner

I'll second that. This is an excellent film and a real time capsule. T.A.M.I. is a perfect cross section of the era's music, perhaps the best ever done whether by intent or pure luck.

It was actually shot over two days with the best performances being picked, but James Brown apparently didn't rehearse and did his set in a single take which makes his performance ...and the Stone's closing with Mick doing his best to improvise Brown's stage moves... that much more remarkable.

Projected on a large screen, the restoration on Blu-ray from a couple of years back looks even better than the DVD, which is surprising given the limitations of the cameras used.
