Designed to both anger and jerk tears, this film recreates the horrors and eventual rebellion perpetrated by a Russian inmate where several hundred inmates were able to escape en masse.
The camp officers were an evil and a vile bunch from hell. The situation was deteriorating and word had come down their camp was the next to be "closed down". Action had to be taken.
Konstantin Khabensky, a Russian movie staple, both acts and directs. Compared to 'Schindler's List', this one has a made-for-tv look.
