RE: Certainly one of the most over rated, pretentious and self important film series ever...

I liked the original Matrix, but despite multiple attempts I have never been able to get through either of the older sequels. In fact, IIRC the first sequel was one of the few occasions when I walked out of the theater in the middle of a film.
