Haven't seen it. I think one might best consider this film within the context of an old and highly skilled filmmaker. Not to say avoiding a dud is easy, it can happen to anyone, but this guy is rich and without doubt has the state of the art, best of everything theatre to view the work, no doubt with an eye to have the work hold up in the future , when film playback will be even better.
A consumer in a cineplex with average facilities , or a viewer at the single theatre in a small community will have a very different viewing experience from that of a multi millionaire who works in the industry and his personal set up.
But, as I said, I haven't seen the thing. Mostly drawing an analogy from restaurants , where presentation affects the experience. I live in a big city that affords a selection of viewing experiences. I always choose the viewing house carefully if I think a movie will depend on a lot of effects, knowing it will speak a different language with another type of presentation.
