The plot seems awfully familiar but the play is in the acting. Halle Berry delivered a standout performance as an aging executive who decides it's time for her to make a BIG move. Mark Ruffalo is the basset hound-faced detective who refuses to give up on his serial theft theory, which nobody else believes, and Chris Hemsworth is the young thief who has his game down until an interloper begins to cause big trouble.
This is the best Ruffalo I've seen in a while. He is getting so well-seasoned with his character work. Totally believable as an aging detective going through a divorce and trying to maintain credibility inside the force.
Action, drama, violence makes this Amazon production enticing.
