The Dawns Here Are Quiet definitely didn't suck. The superior 1972(?) original was remade in 2005. Available on the 'zon for a cupla bucks. Remake free

You left off a fine contemporary one that I think you recommended previously, The Return.

And of course, as someone else mentioned, T-34 /s
