You're right about the film and Spielberg. I saw it in the theater when it came out, and have been waiting for it to appear on one of me subscription channels for a another viewing. I was SO looking forward to his version of West Side Story and now I have to wait until later this year. He is one of a handful of working directors today that IMO has gained "legend" status with the likes of Hitchcock, Wyler, Wilder, Zinnemann, Minnelli, etc., etc......
