Characters in this film, Atilla Marcel, are quirky to the point of absurdity. Each is memorable in a story line about a mute young pianist who doesn't quite know who he is or who is parents were. The young pianist slowly recovers crucial memories through the help of a neighbor who plies him with (uhm...) psychotropic drugs! Clueless and stuck at the beginning, he comes out whole in the end. Lighthearted comedy throughout, while at the same time exploring themes of memory and personal identity in some depth. Only the French do absurdist comedy so well. Recommended!
