Films we're anticipating but dreading.

By this, I mean films that raise a lot of hype, even if it's only in our own minds, that we eagerly anticipate, but (perhaps because we're looking forward to them so much) dread will be F'd up. Example for me was Star Wars I. I had way too high expectations for this film I guess. Mystery Men is another example.

The one I'm anticipating & dreading now is Lord of the Rings, in production right now in New Zeland (www.lordoftheringsmovie.com). Loved the books, even didn't mind the animated features of it and The Hobbit which came out years ago. Have the BBC productions on CD (drives my wife nuts when I load them into the car's changer at the start of a long road trip).

There's a lot of remakes going into production these days. These are the best of times, and the worst of times.
