July 2000 WHY DO INMATES HANG OUT HERE?
BECAUSE:
It’s here.
It’s not something you have to wait for, like that
subscription to Deaf and Even Dumber than Last
Month or that set of speakers FedUP somehow
managed to lose just one of.BECAUSE:
They get to watch cats get herded by the most diligent
(yet seemingly ineffective) moderating team on the web.
Admit it folks, it beats watching cartoons, right?!BECAUSE:
They have money to burn and want advice on the next step.BECAUSE:
They don’t have money to burn and need advice on the
biggest-bang-for-buck. I bet if you did a survey of ‘mates
and asked how much money and misery they’d saved based
on the information they gathered here, it would add up to
a least 2.5 bajillion something-or-anothers.BECAUSE:
It ain’t BannerReview.BECAUSE:
They, and (obviously) you, are addicted."How can I get help for this addiction?" you
may be asking yourself.The short answer is: you can’t, so you might as well
relax and enjoy it— you make your first annual
contribution to the place you can’t seem to stop
visiting. Those of you who have already made your gift
for this year may continue to relax without interruption; we
thank you for your discerning taste and wise investment.
So far, only 5% of registered inmates have made
a contribution to the First Annual Asyla-Thon.
Over the next couple of weeks, we hope to see
this grow to AT LEAST 10% of the total inmate
poulation.It's easy to set aside our calls for support.
You may be thinking that the request is really
intended for someone else ... like sponsors, or
people who give big gifts.Not!
We need everyone’s help with contributions both
large and small. So what are you waiting for???
You spend time here.

Please help pay for it.When one considers the projected maintenance and
development goals of the Asylum, it's clear that
the Asylum needs broad-based support. Look here to
