Tonight was like meeting an old friend. It's been years since we saw this one, so many in fact that it almost seemed like a new film.I really don't see how Maria Schneider would be able to tackle this role. Although I just can't forget her moves in the "Passenger", I am almost glad she quit.
Great movie any way you look at it, fun and masterwork stirred in the same glass. And Fernando Rey - ah, Fernando Rey.... subtle and so sure of himself, even when shaky.
So let me simply quote:
"It's a superb film, summarizing the eternal relationship between man and woman, with top class actors under the directorship of Bunuel the genius."
