Flame me if you must, but having seen it twice last weekend, I consider "High Fidelity" to be required viewing for all inmates. The two supporting characters who work in Cusack's character's record store ("Championship Vinyl"), whom he calls "the musical moron twins," are the paradigms of folks who have mastered to great depth a body of totally useless knowledge about an arcane subject.I am not a John Cusack fan at all; but I thought he was really good in this. The rest of the cast are unknowns to me, but they have one thing in common -- they can act. Even the pretty ones. One of the cast members is a dead ringer for Catherine Zeta-Jones. The way you can tell them apart is that this lady can actually act, unlike Michael Douglas's wife, who is all eye candy.
I'm sorry, I did a search before I made this post. Only a little comment about this film.
It deserves more.
