I suggest looking up his filmography on www.imdb.com, making a complete list and heading for your store - try to get as many as you can. Don't pay much attention to the online reviews, I personally disagree with most of them.In my view he is interesting, but overated among the elite, and way too uneven to occupy the place among the great ones. In almost every one of his films you will find something interesting, even riveting, but in the final analysis none of them is trully of the higest caliber. He is like the 100 meter runner who always leads at 60 meter marks, but finishes last. Quite a disappointment really, because there is a definite strenth in him and his vision.
So unless he changes, he shall forever remain a curiosity, an entertaining possibility that is, at its worse, still far more interesting than about 99% of the present Hollywood production, but just not on par with the world's best.
We had discussed many of his flms before, so I shall not brden you with titles. I think it will be more interesting for you to sail through his films and keep us posted as you go - then we all will relive our experiences.
Best of luck, for you could have picked a far worse vehicle for the next few weeks.
