if you haven't seen traffic, its pretty darn good. Ironically enough the first time I went to see it, I got stuck in so much traffic on the way to the theater that by the time I got there it was sold out. I decided I'd seen enough traffic for one day and left without waiting for the next show.
Anyhow, for those that haven't seen it, its REALLY graphic, painfully so, especially with Michael Douglas's daughter, not for the faint of heart, but def. good for some teenagers to see to get an idea of what drugs can do to you. The basic message for the movie is that even if you are in the DEA, you work for the drug dealer's since if you put one group away, another one just grows stronger... basically says you can't win the war. Its great in that it shows the cops, the dealers and some independent guys just stuck in the middle and how they all collide with one another. Friend of mine told me his father in law works for the DEA and in the scene where Michael douglas walks through the main center where they gather all their intelligence, he said the guys there are real DEA agents and he even knows some of them.
The ending of the movie, while it kinda' just leaves you hanging, is pretty good. It gives you the feel that the war's never gonna end, but it still manages to give a slightly hollywood type ending in that you know they get their's in the end and you walk out feeling ok since it ended on a positive note. If you like gansta' type movies, I think you'll like this one, its got a great plot, but it was just a little too graphic for me. Oh, the acting is really good.
