I started reading the book about three weeks ago, but stopped after the first chapter when I saw the movie trailers on TV. I prefer to see the movie before reading the book. Anyway, I saw it today and can't wait to get back to the book. Great movie! Just for comparison's sake, this would be a 9 on a scale of 10 with Gladiator being a minus 2. Geoffry Rush was superb as the "tailor", and Pearce Brosnan was devilishly wicked as the aging British spy relegated to Panama for his past "sins."A definite "thumbs up." Don't miss it, especially if you are a fan of John LeCarré.
