"Bridget Jones's Diary": an exceptional "chick flick."

209.51.192.9

Okay guys, if you're gonna get dragged to a film by your S.O., THIS is the one you should see. This is a funny, smart romantic comedy served up by a fine cast featuring Renee Zellweger (with a little extra carry-on), Colin Firth reprising his "Mr. Darcy" role from "Pride and Prejudice" (think BBC, not the Stallone version), Hugh Grant playing a lying rat bastard (the same as in "Small Time Crooks"--obviously not mimicking real life), and cameos by authors Jeffrey Archer and Salman Rushdie (no, this time I am not kidding!).

So go forth and use this as a bargaining chip on Memorial Day Weekend so you can drag her to see "Pearl Harmageddon."
