I thought it was fantastic. All about his obsession to live up to his promise and he cracks when he realizes how far over the edge he went and how bad he blew it with Robin Wright's character.About fate (taking out the killer in a random accident) and how he ends up alone and quite crazy.
I think Penn did an excellent job letting Jack loose to do some of his best work in over a decade. Nice understated directing. And the score was great too.
