Hey, Jeff, thanks for dumping all that French on us... I will now need to go and translate them all. But before I do that, are there any comedies on that list? The closest I recall was "The Elegant Criminal" (Lacenaire), if one could call that a comedy...I agree that his performance in Manon/Jean wa perhaps the most unusual and interesting, but he was extremely human in "The Widow of Saint-Pierre".
When it comes to French comedies, Pierre Richard is one of my favorites, with his "The Tall Blond Man with one Black Shoe" setting the tone, and "The Goat" perhaps being the pinacle. Has he done even a better comedy since then?
