I saw it yesterday night. Venue was an usual as the film itself, a small bar with a 30 seat theater in the back, in the Village of course. Beside me there were 3 other masochists inside. I would recommend this 1984 film to someone who's interested in off off Hollywood cinema; after all you've got your Jim Jarmusch, your John Lurie(Lounge Lizards, Fishing with John, Get Shorty soundtrack, etc), your Robert Edson(a member of Sonic Youth, etc, and usually cast as a small time crook/loser), your Eszter Balint(a downtown actress/musician). This film was one of the first New York avant-garde flicks that won something at the Cannes. Check it out if you aren't hung up on script, camera angles, surround sound, sets or any other conventional movie stuff.:)
