Boy lives with serogate parents after his parents are killed. Mystery man comes and introduces boy to new and broader world full of adventure, magic and excitement. Boy leaves serogates to joing new friends and has adventures growing up and dealing with good and evil. Movie ends with a showdown with good against evil with boy as key player, plenty of special effects. Evil is almost destroyed but gets away to show up in next film.
