I think that simply reflects the movie as the whole. It is not like she stands out. I thought the Deparieu-the-son was as wooden as ever, and the young man has truly no potential (even in All The Mornings of the World), no matter how hard his dad (one of the greatest actors of our time) might try to push him.And Ms. Deneuve - her acting achievements are very few, unfortunately. So we shall never be sure what she could have really achieved.
