I just watched it on DVD. It's a very unusual film. I was highly impressed that they could make such a visual spectacular. It takes an open mind and a willingness to just go with it -- some of the silly slapstick French characters are just so silly and so far over the top. It goes from stylish to a bad pre-school special.

It was clever how they used modern songs and lyrics in the lines. Nicole Kidman was gorgeous.

Ultimately, I never found it that involving. Apparently it's Rosie O'Donnell's favorite movie -- not that surprising. Maybe she's in love with Nicole.
