The Dead Zone has a similar theme (angst-ridden man racing around trying to change the past/future) and amazing cinematography. Christopher Walken is creepy as always. Great movie. A little disturbing.Flatliners also has the theme of dancing with death/past/future - and with enough brat pack cheese to make it fun (assuming that Keifer Sutherland doesn't make you nauseous).
For some reason, Frequency reminds me of Cop Land - don't know why, maybe it just has that theme of slow self discovery in the face of crisis (along with 50% of all films ever made) . . or maybe I'm just weird. But Cop Land is a good movie, too.
I hope these suggestions help.
