Until they make an unexpurgated version of Delta of Venus, how about:1. Last Tango In Paris
2. The Unbearable Lightness of Being
3. The Yellow Balloon (Maybe 1970 and called "porn" then. Really soft but incredibly erotic. Almost all modern porn is not erotic - just really dull.)
4. Realm of the Senses
5. Candy (opinions vary wildly on this film. I see it as a very funny spoof of late 60's sexual mores. Ewa Aulin (Candy) couldn't act but she was the picture of sexy feminine pulchitrude.)
6. The Seduction of Tessa. (A French "porn" film from maybe 1978. Highly erotic and not boring. The Germans and the Americans make the worst porn, the French the best.)
7. A Midsummer Nights Dream (1935) (Don't laugh. Anita Louise as Tatania is about the most erotic portrayal in the history of film. The film is darned good in other respects. Mickey Rooney plays Puck and is wonderful!)
8. Never On Sunday (1960) (Maybe not technically "erotic" but Melena Mecurie (sp?) is astonishing and terribly sexy. One of the three or four greatest actresses in history in her most famous role.)
9. Red Dust (1933) (Pre-code Gable and Harlow. Enough said)
10.Young Frankenstein (Okay, this isn't an erotic movie BUT Teri Garr is as sexy as it is possible to be with clothes on.
