On a first date, you'll have to demonstrate that you're willing to sacrifice your preferences, cross over the line and watch a 'chick flick.' Of last year's releases, "Amelie" and "Bridget Jones's Diary" fit the bill well.OTOH, if your first date likes "Salo," "Blue Velvet," and "In The Realm Of The Senses," I hope you don't bruise easily.
Maybe you should just forget about my advice and see if she and you share the same tastes. You won't have to live with the lie later. Who knows, she might love "Memento."
