In no apparent order:Second price at the Cannes festival, for the actor best price...In Cannes I can not loose the feeling that they will vote anything as long it is not an American film.
Sadly and with irony for the jury this film copy them as MOST of all Eu films actually* does.
This film is beautifully shot, in an artistic way, and in a technically too, bravo.
Reminiscent of some US films from the 50´s, mostly more at the level of the " Invisible Man", mixed with different directors, a little bit of Godard, a little bit of..and so on. On the whole to give you an idea, as it is not so easy I would say it has the softness of " Wings over Berlin " yes this kind of quality, we had with Wim Wenders.
It is mild and naive, but voluntary so, it seems as to the will of the director is to " contre- balance, his maybe darker mood in his own real life.
This one is an antidote for the loudly hyperactive movies.
You will not be bored for one second. A gentle film.
A very good film.
Get it. It will make you a little richer in your own life and not suck your blood out of your veins, like so many others.
Bravo.* And ever.
