you can see the matinee, usually free from annoying neighbors and dirt, for much less than $30---it's $5.75 here. I bring my own snacks...
By your reasoning, NO one would ever listen to anything new because it hadn't been annointed by the cognoscenti as "great."
Your standards certainly are lower than mine if you think there are that many great movies in the past...
Kind of reminds me of a friend who refuses to attend any plays except those of "The Bard."
