As I started writing this title, I looked at the imdb... and the first thing I noticed was another viewer's words: Run, do not walk...I still decided to keep the title, as it really tells it all.
Kukushka is a Finnish/Russian film about the end of WWII between Finland and the USSR. Two soldiers from the warring armies find refuge in the hut of a simple Lapp woman. Three people... three different languages, and none of them understands a word of what the others say.
To say the film is moving is to say nothing. And I can assure you the death walk scene will keep you on the edge of your chair... it is mesmerizing.
Wonderful...
