Re: Totally disagree

I saw "About Shmidt" twice and loved it both times. Now maybe it's because I myself retired at about the same time but I thought that Nicholson captured the disorietation and "look" of a man in that position. I loved when he saw his life's work thrown away in the rubbish. I loved when he discovered his wife's 25 year old affair. I loved the way his friend's speech made us feel uncomfortable and set us up for Schmidt's speech at his daughter's wedding.

What's not to like here, except that Jack was not nominated again for best actor.
