Of course I want people to have differeing opinions and to discuss both positive AND negative aspects of movies. That's what gives BBs their life and color.I just want Victor to change his tune. Each of his posts about movies he doesn't like are carbon copies of each other. It's the same infantile "caca" litany over and over again.
As I said in my first post, he does not expound on WHY the movie sucks according to him. He deems that his word "caca" is enough.
Well, it isn't. BBs are about discussion, not guys like him always speaking in absolutes. There is no grey with this guy, only black and white.
I want Victor to change his tone. If you disagree with him, he dismisses you as a boorish pig. There is no discourse with him. There is no discussion, only that his opinion is all that matters. This is what I meant by "bullying".
His posts simply come off as arrogant posturing.
Look at his subsequent post to me in this thread re: the "Withnail and I" comment. Or his (what he thinks is an) insult about me not knowing Cyrano (wrong again). Guys like him are SO insecure that they constantly have to be spouting quotes from literature because they think knowing these works makes them better than the people that don't.
mvwine, it's not at ALL about the fact that Victor posts negative reviews, it's that he posts poorly written negative reviews and that he belittles anyone that personally attacks anyone that disagrees with his bad reviews, whether calling him out for writing poorly or for liking the movie.
Yo Mama is right. People avoid posting here because they don't want to get into fights with this self-appointed Pope of the AA music board.
