Re: Ned Kelly; 1970s? film starred Mick Jagger

and was eminently forgettable as well, shame as Ned Kelly is the great Ozzie folk hero and deserves better, his story is a rattling good yarn, mate

I recommend Peckinpahs Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid for a fanciful take on that theme, this has Bob Dylan in it (I will refrain from using the word "stars", the only Star is James Coburn)
Now PG+BTK has entertaining dialog by the spadeful and is pretty dark as well, Soundtrack has "Knocking on Heavens Door"
