Man am I juiced. A newly-restored print of Robert Bresson's most famous movie, which I've never seen and which everyone says is transcendent, opened today.
Balthazar, by the way, is a real ass.
But as one critic says, no "Babe", this.
Also, apparently, the final scene is one of the most moving in cinema -- "a consummation of ineffable beauty".
I am grateful to be here where theatres still play great old stuff.
