Now *that* was offensive--but not for the reasons one might assume. It began as a decent enough lowbrow/satirical comedy, and then self-destructed before one's very eyes into the worst pile of rewritten-for-a-test-audience-of-suburban-mothers doggy-doo I've *ever* seen. The script for the last 30 minutes or so of that soi-disant movie is the absolute worst drivel I've ever encountered on the big screen (and I liked SHOWGIRLS). Vergogna!!
To see this sort of thing done correctly, I refer my fellow inmates to VERY BAD THINGS (also starrring Cameron Diaz). Now there's a film that doesn't wimp out.
