I could never understand all the hoopla around that lame and boring show. But be it as it may, it was popular. What can I say - if America was a bit less preoccupied with sports and shows like Friends, and a bit more with education and science, we would be in a far better shape, we would not have our kids score below all developed countries, and some developing ones.
Do I blame Friends for all that? Hardly, but its "success" is highly indicative of the problems in this society.
Several bad actors kept the nation riveted with the help of a lame script... much to be proud of.
So I don't know whether to cry or celebrate. Truth is their departure will mean little - it will be replaced by another such show, with just as much of following.
Easy to get into bad mood over all this...
