The German film industry is strugling with bad economy, and even the distributor of huge success like the " Das Wunder von Bern " is bankrupt.
Lately film like the above cited ( about a football match in Swiss that Germany did win ) and " Lenin Lebt " and quite a few others did give a good impuls to the industry here.
I wrote somewhere else that for the first time in years that Germany will be present in the film festival of Cannes, and THAT is a big improvement.
All in all, a lot of new actors and actresses are doing a good job.
I am very optimistic for the next decade! Of course the main part of it will be the same
as in America, movies for the popcorn...
