In my policy of buying a movie I never heard of while buying movies I have seen or I am familiar with and want, I came across a movie called The Bicycle Thief. Filmed in post war Italy in 1948 it is a style of filmmaking called Neorealism. It's about this man who finally gets a job and needs to have a bicycle. He and his wife figure a way to get his out of hock and it's stolen on his first day at work. He tries to find the person who stole it and in the end he tries to steal a bicycle and gets caught but he is let go and that's how the movie ends. It's a sad story and I think many here would enjoy this movie. It may be hard to find, I got mine on laserdisc.
