Finally saw Mulholland Drive

I would have seen it sooner if I had realized it's similarities to several films, like Vertigo and a couple of Bunuel's films. The most interesting to me was it's similarity was to Bergman's Persona. After checking on the internet I see than many people noticed this. What surprised me, however, was that I find no reference to the very similar ending. Persona ends with the Swedish word for "nothing". Mulholland Drive ends with the word "silence".
I was wondering if anyone else had noticed this and made the connection. The meaning and context seems similar.
