This movie is as good and complete as my expectation before entering the theatre. ( I was able to buy the Premier holiday matinee show in Hong Kong ) Now after viewing, I am impressed with the special effects, just wish the movie can last allowing me to have a longer stay in theatre seats to experience the disaster settings.
All camera angles are easy to follow, tonnes of extras in the backdrop, the scenes are well inserted into building up the climaxes. I enjoy particularly the inclusion of clown character - a homeless black man seeking shelter with his companion dog he who fights survival on a daily basis well acquaintained with skills like grabbing unguarded hotdogs from vendors, search bin for discard leftover food, and insulate himself with newspaper for cosy warm sleep with or without the castastrophic men-made ice age disaster.
Not too convincing, however, are the runaway wolves chasing live instead of dead bodies for food?
Anyways, a plot well done and I look forward its DVD release!!!
