This is a recent Disney film about the 1980 Olympic Hockey contest bewteen the U.S. and the Soviet Union teams. It stars Curt Russell as the driven coach who whips a ragged bunch of college level players from around the country into a real team capable of beating the far more talented and experienced Soviet crew. It is of course entirely predictable and cliche ridden but it is also well done with quite accurate hockey traing and game sequences, far better than that shown in most hockey movies. This is not to be confused with an earlier TV movie on the same subject which is nowhere near as good.
