With that in mind, I would like to mention here an interesting statement by Andrey Tarkovsky, in the chapter of his book devoted to Luis Bunuel. Tarkovsky had deep admiration for Spanish director.Says he:
"Bunuel has enough artistic sense, to avoid falling into the trap of political pathos, something that is never appropriate, when stated directly in works of art"
