Thanks to gracious Rich Jura I was able to see this film.Apparently - and for no clear reason - it is incredibly hard to find, with no copies available from the Amazon or other sources, so if you get your hands on it - keep it!
To be short - this is a better one of the many survivor movies. I am usually quite cool to that genre, but there is something in this film that makes it tick. It is not acting, and probably not even the plot, but most likely it is the atmosphere. It wouldn't be going too far by suggesting that there is certain sense of continuity with the ever-wonderful Passion in the Desert... albeit on the more factual level, with only subtle artistic interplays.
And don't get it confused with the Flight of the Phoenix - this is far more REAL thing... wihin the limitation of the genre, of course.
Quite recommended.
