Thanks.I gather you haven't seen the Takeshi version of "Zatoichi". It would be interesting to hear your thoughts as well.
Up 'til now, the best samurai movie that sticks with me is only a memory of viewing it many years ago. It was a Zatoichi movie titled something like "Zatoichi Meets His Equal". The nemesis was a one-armed, agile Chinese (I think) fighter with a short/thick bladed sword. I don't remember much about it, but the idea of "best" I have seen remains. Does this movie ring a bell with you, Tosh? Or, am I confused with some other series?
